Top 10 Plurk Karma Tips – Get 100 Karma!

I wrote an article on Plurk Karma back in November – I called it The Obvious Secrets to Plurk Karma, which has been extremely successful with 1,500+ visits to it, not to mention the amount of time it has been linked and shared.

However, I thought it was about time I updated things as it was quite some time ago!

10 things I, Olivia Bell keep in mind:-

First 3 Tips

1. The most important tip is, don’t ‘karma watch’ – if it goes down, say to yourself “how interesting”, and then do something about it…

2. The big thing about karma is, if you’re not an active plurker, your karma goes down. If you are an active plurker, your karma goes up – it has to.

An “active plurker” is a plurker who plurks at least once every 12-hours.

3. Add Karma Trends - Karma Trends will tell you every time Plurk Karma has been updated.

Tips 4, 5, 6 and 7

4. Make a point of plurking between every Plurk Interval – if you can’t plurk between every plurk interval, then plurk as much as you can.

5. As you climb up the ranks of karma it will become more important for your plurks to have at least one response from your friends or fans. However, friends/fans sending multiple messages within a short period of time (a minute or so) will actually make it harder for karma to increase. This is otherwise called spam.

One response will do, but don’t overload anything, Plurk will know!

6. If you do not plurk for 12 hours your karma will not decrease. But it also won’t increase as much as it could if you plurked every few hours.

7. If you do not plurk for longer than 12 hours, your karma will begin to decrease until you plurk again.

The Last 3 Tips

8. If you do not have access to a computer, try plurking from your mobile using Plurk Mobile. www.plurk.com/m

9. Invite, invite, invite. If you invite your friends and they join Plurk, this will maintain your karma and also increase it!

10. Although this article is about karma… don’t worry so much, karma isn’t that important anyway, so don’t plurk about it

Plurk about lots of interesting stuff your friends will enjoy, and by doing that you will enjoy using plurk more, and your karma will then increase naturally.
